10 Stylish Manicure Trends To Try In 2019
If you're in need of fresh coat of nailspiration, you’re in luck. Not only does the #nailart hashtag on Instagram produce a flurry of inspiration by the minute, but the Spring/Summer 2019 runways saw bold and creative manicures that were just as detailed as the clothes.
Whether you’re into bold dramatic manicures or prefer a more classic approach, the 10 2019 manicure trends below have you covered. Let us know which is your favorite in the comments below!
Negative Space Mani: This trend is super simple - just incorporate your natural nail into the nail art and tada, your manicure is complete. With this look, the nail art is the main attraction so take this opportunity to be as creative as you’d like.
CD Nails: Coined by Instagram nail star Jessica Washick, this manicure is for the old school folk. It has a holographic look...just like your (or your moms!) favorite CD.
Matching Manis: At the opening ceremony NYFW runway show, models matched their nails to their outfit. Plaid on plaid never looked so good. This trend is perfect to mimic for the special events in your life!
Light Pink: Lady Gaga rocked a light pink manicure to the Oscars and you can achieve the same look with Maxus’ very own Adore. Sometimes, simplicity wins.
Fire Engine Red: When isn’t this a trend? Luckily, never. This trend is wearable, easy, and always a scene-stealer. Get the look with Maxus’ Inspired.
Glitter: If you’re a mother, you’re probably terrified of glitter. But don’t worry about it for your manicure! You’ll be using a glitter nail polish for this textured trend so the sparkles will be on your nails and not your carpet.
Short Squoval Nails: This shape is a mash-up between square and oval and is easiest to maintain on shorter nails. This shape is ideal for the French manicure (classic and modern!) and any style listed on this post.
Pearlescent Shades: Not into nail art? No problem. This neutral shade is accessible and will give your nails a nice healthy glow. The great news is that you don’t have to have a dramatic manicure to be on trend in 2019.
Pearl Party: In addition to pearly shades, 2019 will be all about the pearl. Literally. This embellishment isn’t subtle in the least but it will definitely be a conversation starter! You can buy pearl nail art stones on Amazon in a variety of sizes.
Organized Chaos: That’s the way we describe the squiggle trend seen at the Jeremy Scott Moschino show in Milan. It looks like someone took a sharpie to your manicure and…drew squiggly lines. If you’re doing this at home, nail artist Miss Pop suggests actually using a Sharpie pen on a light manicure. Easy!
So many beautiful nail trends, so little time, amiright? Ultimately, whichever manicure you choose for yourself, don’t forget that the best trend year after year is healthy, strong nails.
